Exhibitors
Is Earth Fair right for you? To be an exhibitor, you must have a message, cause, product or service that addresses the environment. The intent of our event is education and inspiration: a visitor to your booth should be exposed to new resources and ideas that help them become a better, informed citizen of our earth.
Registration
Exhibitors should complete and send in the Registration Form . If you would like a hard copy mailed to you please call us at (810) 987-5306. Registration opens in January every year and closes in March.
Where Does Earth Fair Take Place?
Earth Fair takes place at Goodells County Park in the three Special Event barns adjacent to the north parking lot. There are only minor variations in layout from year to year. All of the exhibit areas are inside. If requested, some exhibit spaces are setup outside between the barns and others are on grass under tents.
Who Attends Earth Fair?
We estimate that about 5,000 individuals attend Earth Fair. You’ll see a broad cross-section of the county’s residents, mostly from the rural surrounding areas and from Port Huron. Several hundred school children also attend Earth Fair on Friday for field trips.
Can I Sell at Earth Fair?
Yes, non-profit groups are free to sell for their own fund-raising purposes. For-profit organizations may sell environmentally-relevant goods and services. For-profits pay a slightly higher registration fee for selling goods.
If I Decide to Exhibit, How Will the Day Go?
Setup takes place on Thursday between 12:00pm and 8:00pm and on Friday between 7:00am and 8:30am. The barns are locked during overnight hours. The fair formally starts at 9:00am on Friday and all exhibitors must refrain from setup after that time (there is no vehicular traffic through the park during the fair). During allocated setup times you may drive your vehicle up to or into the barns for unloading. The fair ends promptly at 4:00pm on Saturday, at which time cleanup and break down can begin.
Are Food Vendors Invited to Participate?
Yes, we reserve a limited number of spots for food vendors based on a first-come, first-served basis. Food Vendors are required to use biodegradeable and/or compostable food serviceware products at their cart. Earth Day is about using earth friendly alternatives whenever possible; this includes products made from renewable resources (plants, not oil) and recycled material.
We have supplied the names of three Michigan-based companies, request a catalog or view items online:
- Michigan Green Safe Products
Their earth friendly products are made from renewable resources, such as corn and sugarcane, allowing them to be 100% biodegradable and compostable. No oil or petroleum is used in the creation of their products making them an eco-friendly alternative to Styrofoam and plastic.
